Our team is designed to blend practice and research, business and technology competencies. Representative members of the team:

Mr Anthony Tait
Financial and Administration Director
Tony worked for over 30 years in the Civil Service where he served as manager of manpower services. He is responsible for financial control and administration as well as supervision of quality management.

He has led the knowledge management consultancy services and has participated in EU projects for the past 15 years.
Dr Takis Katsoulakos
R&D Director
BSc, MSc and PhD in Marine Engineering from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. R&D Director of INLECOM Group since 1996.  From 1981 to 1996 he was with Lloyds Register of Shipping becoming Senior Principal Surveyor and Head of Applied Information Engineering.

He served as Chairman of the European Software Institute and the Foundation of Enterprise Knowledge Development; Visiting Professor of Computing
Science UMIST; Chairman of many Software Engineering conferences including the IEEE Software Standards. He has published widely and has managed numerous EU research projects.
Mr Yash Chadha
Director for EU projects and Business Development

Yash is a highly experienced Chartered Accountant and entrepreneurial Business Leader with a proven track record of achievement over 20 years in the technology, distribution, recycling, security and service marketplace. Specialist expertise in shaping strategic direction, driving change and delivering significantly increased business performance.

He has held a director position in both private and public companies and leads the business development activities in INLECOM.

Dr Des Morgan
Head Transport and Logistics Technologies and Systems
BSc - Electronic and Electrical Engineering and PhD - Electrical Power Systems from the University of Salford.

He has over 25 years’ experience in systems development including manager of the Technology Group at GEC - Marconi Radar and Control Systems Ltd responsible for R & D projects, security systems, generating new products for the company. He has participated in INLECOM projects since 2006
Dr Harry Alevizos
Senior Software Architect
BSc Informatics from AUEB and PhD in “SYMEX: A Systems Theory based Framework for Workflow Modelling and Execution” from City University of London.  Recent papers: Automatic derivation of BPEL4WS from IDEF0 process models, The Semantics of Business Service Orchestration, Advances in Semantics for Web services. He is currently responsible for architectural design of SAFEPOST and EUROSKY platforms.

Mr Ulrik Topp
Principal Consultant Transport and Logistics Business

INLECOM has strengthened its commercial team with Ulrik, a creative, dynamic and inspirational business leader with sound customer understanding, and a strong focus on business growth and Customer Relationship Management.
 
His career has included CEO of Central and Northern Europe (DHL Global Mail), Global Head of Marketing Services (DHL Global Customer Solutions), Global Head of Sales Development and Segment Development (DHL Worldwide Express).
Mr Makis Kouloumbis
Programme Manager
Makis has over 15 years’ experience in managing and delivering global projects in multinational companies, such as Hewlett-Packard and PwC.

He holds a BSc in Informatics, a MSc in Information Systems Engineering and an MBA, and he is PMP certified. He is currently responsible for the overall project portfolio.
Mr Ioannis Koliousis
Principal Consultant Supply Chain and Transportation Strategy and City Logistics

Ioannis holds BSc Maritime University of Pireas, MBA from AUEB, and MLog from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

He has extensive consulting and training experience from operational to strategic level in the field of transportation including devising public transport strategies for a major Port Authority, traffic flow demand management, city logistics, re-organization in a light rail authority, designing and optimizing supply chains.

 Dr Zisis Palaskas
Head of business intelligence and data integration

MSc and  PhD, in Control Systems/Intelligent User Interfaces, University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST); BSc  Electrical Engineering, Aristoteleion Uni.  Zisis has extensive experience in Decision Support Systems, Data-Warehouse & Data Mining, On-line Analytical Processing, e-Business.


He was manager in KPMG Management Consulting in Business and IT consulting Services, managing IT Strategy projects, MIS, Financial Business Modelling; also manager in Deloitte & Touche Consulting in the Information Technology line of Services, focusing on e-Business B2B services,

Dr Heather McLaughlin
Research Partner  Transport and Logistics Policy and Business Education 
Heather is an active researcher with expertise in international business, finance and logistics where she has long been involved in maritime policy development. Specialist Adviser to the House of Commons Select Committee for Transport on the Inquiry into the future of UK ports.

More recently she has worked on European Commission projects that promote the use of water freight transport in the EU member states. She has extended her research in the labour and human resources area with research on work engagement and is increasingly involved in social enterprise, and business education.
Dr Maria Lambrou
Research Partner Intelligent Transport Systems

Ph.D. from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Electrical and Computer Engineering, in the area of Service Engineering (1998); she also has an M.A. in Management Studies from Brunel University, and BEng in Mechanical Engineering -Aristotle University.
 
Her research interests and work include digital shipping applications and intelligent transportation services, in particular formal specifications techniques and pervasive computing. She has a number of publications in the above areas, and research and technical experience in E.U. R&D projects in communications, e-services, as well as intelligent transport, and e-maritime technologies and applications. 

Dr Yingli Wang                                   
Research Partner Electronic Logistics Marketplaces
Dr. Yingli Wang' research interests focus primarily on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in logistics and supply chain management. She  has conducted extensive research in the area of Electronic Logistics Marketplaces (ELMs). She was awarded the prestigious James Cooper Memorial Cup by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in 2009 for her PhD work in ELM.

Yingli  has worked with a wide range of industrial companies from various sectors including both SMEs and blue chip companies. Her recent work with a main UK retailer has been highlighted by Engineering and Physical Science Research Council (EPSRC) as a good example of industry and
academic collaboration. Before embarking on her academic career, she worked for 9 years at Nestle China in various senior managerial roles.
Dr Kevin Curran
Research Partner
Ambient Intelligence and  Networks Security 
BSc, PhD in Computer Science from the University Ulster. Reader in Computer Science at the University of Ulster. Kevin has made significant contributions to advancing the knowledge and understanding of computer networking and systems, evidenced by over 700 published works. Areas of expertise include location determination positioning technologies, wireless sensors and network security. 

He has chaired sessions and participated in the organising committees for many highly-respected international conferences and workshops. He is the Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Ambient Computing and Intelligence (IJACI) and is also a member of numerous Journal Editorial boards and international conference organising committees. He is a regular contributor to BBC radio & TV news in the UK.
Dr Yannis Katsoulacos
Research Partner Economics
BSc, MSc, PhD Economics (LSE).  Since 1994, Professor of Economics at the Department of Economic Science of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), where he has served also as University Vice-Rector and is currently Head of Department.  He has been Commissioner of the Hellenic Competition Commission and Member of the Council of Economic Advisors (SOE) of the Ministry of the National Economy of Greece.

He has extensive practical experience in the areas of Competition Policy and Sectoral (Telecom and Energy) Regulation. He has also acted as consultant on competition issues to many of the major multinational or Greek companies (Hellenic Petroleum (ELPE), Minoan, VIVARTIA, Heineken/ Athenian Breweries, SIDENOR, BSH, PMI, PepsicoInt. etc.).
Mr Simon Johnson F Innst TT
European Business Development – Travel Sector

Simon is an experienced pan-European PLC, JV, Private Company and NFP Director with proven success in balancing strategic and commercial objectives. He is a Board Director of the Institute of Travel & Tourism and an Independent Transportation, Hospitality & Retail Executive with over 30 years experience. His expertise covers interim support and project work helping businesses manage periods of change, marketing and sales advice, strategies for growth, transformation, downsizing cover for key management.

Until 2013 he was Passenger Services Director at P&O Ferries and been Membership Director at London Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Passenger Shipping Association.

Ms Ioanna Fergadioti
Project Manager

Ms Ioanna Fergadioti holds a degree in Physics from Athens University, masters degrees in Information Technology & Management (National Technical University of Athens) and Educational Technology (Athens University). She has an over 10-years work experience in the management of EU co-funded projects and initiatives and is specialised in the design of digital content and human capital development interventions, using IT-facilitated learning environments. From 2003 to 2012 she held the position of a Programmes Manager at Vocational Training SA and the National Institute of Labor and Human Resources (both operating under the supervision of the Hellenic Ministry of Employment).

She has also worked for five years as a project manager in Software Companies (Athens Technology Center, PLT) and for three years as a Research Assistant at the University of Athens. She is currently the project manager of the EuTravel Project (H2020 –MG7.2.a).

Mr Xavier Lluch
Bachelor and Master in Business Administration (Esade, 1973)
Licensed Customs broker and Freight Forwarder (Spanish administration, 1977)

Until the year 2000 Managing director of a Spanish Customs broker and Freight Forwarding company and board member of professional organisations in the forwarding industry.
Board member of a major Port Authority. Promotion of information exchanges and quality certifications within port communities.
Consultancies in port, transport & customs related matters, specifically oriented to improvement efficiency, avoidance of CO2 emissions and external marginal costs, information exchanges and intermodal transportation. Participation as expert in port & intermodal transportation related projects (e.g. Europapendeln, Clyma, IfreightMed)

Member or the board of PORTEL, S.A., a Spanish company providing technological & information services to ports and the transport communities.
Professor of the Escola Europea de Short Sea Shipping and participant in seminars in several Spanish universities.
